Printable Sudoku for teachers
Use Sudoku to practice explaining a logical decision. Choose an Easy weekly pack below for seven puzzles and a separate answer page, or change the difficulty for your group.
A short classroom routine
- Give learners the rules sheet and explain rows, columns and boxes.
- Work through a single-candidate example together.
- Ask learners to explain why a digit is forced before writing it.
- Compare reasoning in pairs, then check answers after the attempt.
Choose a worksheet layout
The weekly pack below has five pages: four puzzle-and-tip pages followed by one solution page. Print pages 1–4 for learners and keep page 5 for checking. The four-per-page and six-per-page packs use fewer sheets and omit answers.
Support different learners
Use the single-puzzle layout when more writing space helps. The interactive beginner course can support a demonstration; the strategy reference gives experienced learners a next step.
For a smaller teaching example, see the checked 4-by-4 grid in our Mini Sudoku guide. It is an explanation, not a downloadable mini worksheet.
Downloads are direct and free. There is no class roster, bulk personalization or student-account requirement for these PDFs. Optional emails are separate from downloading.
